• Notes: Summary A Tailor Pattern Maker is responsible for creating, developing, and modifying garment patterns based on design specifications; work closely with designers and production teams to ensure accurate sizing, fit, and style before mass production; Responsibilities Create garment patterns manually or using CAD software based on sketches and measurements; sample patterns for dresses, uniforms, suits, abayas, shirts, trousers, etc; and modify patterns according to client or designer requirements; accurate body measurements when required; grading of patterns for different sizes (S, M, L, XL, etc; ); fabric according to finalized patterns; sample stitching and fitting process; proper garment fitting and make alterations when needed; pattern records and documentation for production use; Qualifications Proven experience as a Tailor or Pattern Maker (2+ years preferred); knowledge of garment construction and fabrics; to read and interpret design sketches and technical drawings; understanding of measurements and sizing standards; & Abilities ✔ Attention to detail ✔ Strong measuring and cutting skills ✔ Creative and technical ability ✔ Knowledge of fabric types and stitching techniques ✔ Good communication and teamwork skills Work Environment Garment factory, tailoring shop, fashion house, or textile company Full-time position May require handling sewing machines and cutting equipment
