• Notes: Summary A Lumberjack (Feller) is responsible for cutting down trees, preparing timber, and assisting in forestry operations; worker ensures safe and efficient felling of trees while following environmental and safety regulations; Responsibilities Cut down trees using chainsaws, hand saws, or machinery Trim branches and prepare logs for transport Load and unload timber onto trucks or storage areas Clear work areas of debris and maintain a safe environment Follow forestry plans and supervisor instructions Operate and maintain cutting tools and machinery Adhere to safety regulations and use protective equipment (PPE) Report accidents, hazards, or equipment issues immediately Required Qualifications Previous experience in forestry or timber cutting (preferred) Knowledge of tree felling techniques and safety procedures Physically fit and able to handle heavy work Ability to operate chainsaws and other cutting tools Awareness of environmental and safety regulations Skills & Abilities ✔ Strong physical stamina and endurance ✔ Attention to safety and detail ✔ Ability to work in a team ✔ Mechanical aptitude for basic tool maintenance ✔ Ability to work in outdoor and rugged conditions Work Conditions Full-time position Outdoor forest or logging sites Exposure to extreme weather, noise, and heavy physical work Long hours may be required depending on forestry operations
